Working from a studio in her home in Edinburgh, with Radio 6 music and Radio 2 for company, Lorraine knits each of her pieces individually, in 100% lambswool, using embellishments grown from manipulative felting techniques. The result is an utterly original collection that includes eccentric egg cosies, woollen jewellery and irregular scarves With a masters in textile design from the Scottish College of Textiles, Lorraine enjoys playing with scale in her designs. Traditional elements become exaggerated: scarves are skinny with large bobbles and beaded necklaces develop overstated proportions. And with knits being such a key fashion story right now, Lorraine’s collection is bang on-trend.
