Try framing the baby cards in simple white box frames – they make fab wall decorations for a baby’s room or nursery. Three frames in a line look particularly striking.

Exquisitely hand made cards with simple, understated designs
It’s the high quality of the materials used and exacting attention to detail that sets Hertfordshire-based card maker Sam Popplewell’s designs apart.
How do you find inspiration?
Everywhere! Old wall paper, weeds, buildings, lettering and illustrations in old books, a colour, yarns, fabrics...
How have you perfected your designs?
The detail is important to me, I like things to look natural and simple yet when examined closely one can see the care and attention to detail is put into each piece, no matter how small. For example, I sew the buttons on rather than just sticking them, write the wording onto each card, hand tear rather than cut where possible and always follow the design through on the inside of the card and the envelope.
What makes your range special?
Each card is a little different to the next, true originals with their own charming natural blemishes. The attention to detail on each one hopefully makes the recipient feel special
seeing that love and care has gone into making it.
