Insider Ideas
Try using Pi's hand-knitted hangers to display a special dress or perhaps a favourite toddler outfit from a decorative hook. This can be a very personal and individual way to decorate a wall - and so much nicer than bundling all those special memories up into a crate to sit unseen in the loft.

hand-made cushions, soft toys and lavender bags in vintage fabrics and pure wool
After training as a fashion and textiles designer, Pi Truckel ran a small hand knitwear company selling to well-known labels such as Paul Smith, until she realized her other interests were taking her in another direction. ‘After years of collecting vintage fabric and masses of wool, I thought I’d better do something with it,’ she says. So in 2008, Pi launched her very special range of soft toys, cushions and clothing items under the label ‘the woolly dog.’ Often based around the hoard of 30s to 50s fabrics she has collected, mixed with pure new wool, linen and cotton - all of Pi’s pieces are unique. Finding inspiration from a wide range of sources, including vintage sewing magazines, Pi works from her home in London. ‘I’m very fussy about things being well made, in this country, and that they look just right,’ she says. Such attention to detail and exacting high standards is why Pi’s collection stands out from the crowd. For a truly special gift to be treasured for a lifetime - and beyond - Pi’s collection is perfect.
