Berkshire-based designer Vanessa Waller, (nickname Monda), has a degree in Design Crafts and is totally passionate about what she creates. So much so that she has recently given up a successful career in recruitment in order to concentrate full time on her own business.
What do you love about what you do? Everything! There is something very satisfying about turning an old woollen jumper or blanket into a much-loved toy, or some old maps into a pretty card.
What makes your range special? My creations are not mass-produced so have a unique look and feel. Today we live in such a throw away society, where quantity seems more important than quality, so I love that my designs use recycled materials with lasting value to create something new.
Your favourite: Each new piece I create becomes a favourite – I’m so fickle! It’s incredibly important to me that I really love the things that I make and sell.
