After taking a break from running a London design studio to have her family, Bristol-based textile designer Jacqui Watkins began experimenting with print-making last year and was immediately hooked. Since then, she has worked hard to source top quality dyes and the perfect British-woven fabrics, as well as fine-tuning her designs. We are proud to present Jacqui’s first commercial collection under her own label.

How would you describe your designs? Fresh, clean and simple

What’s the best bit? I love the excitement of lifting up the block and seeing the print for the first time. There’s such a wonderful textural quality on the fabric. Also, I feel quite pleased with myself for finding the confidence to start designing again.

Favourite piece? The first block I cut and printed – a simple leaf design. My mind flooded with ideas when I realised ‘actually this could work!’
