Having studied illustration at art college in London, Norfolk-based Gabriella Buckingham worked as a self-employed illustrator as well as a product manager for a greetings card company before becoming a mum. Like many women, the prospect of returning to her old life once she had two small children was unworkable. So in 2008 her own company - Moobaacluck -was born when Gabriella began to develop the idea of designing and making personalised wooden bunting.
Your designs in a nutshell: hand made happiness. Unique, thoughtful and to be treasured.
What do you love about what you do? The freedom and creativity of my life and the thrill when orders come in for a new product.
Favourite piece? The wooden bunting because it only gets better with age. Emma Freud ordered some last year for a Christmas celebration. This is what my business is all about: creating really individual treasure and contributing to memories.
Light bulb moment: Country Living magazine featuring my wooden bunting back in 2008 which led to lots of orders and interest. This was when things really started to take off.
