Looking at Karen Freeman’s range of elegant hand-crafted bags, aprons and lavender bags in classical florals, french toiles and silks, it comes as no surprise to hear that her family house is in France. ‘I have always loved french style and beautiful fabrics,’ says Karen, who works from her home in Canterbury. ‘And I love choosing how the colours and patterns should come together, often with a french twist.’ Karen’s collection uses a stunning range of fabrics including classic english florals and genuine french toile de jouy. ‘I started out creating a unique shoulder bag from a selection of fabrics which I had,’ says Karen. ‘I drew up the pattern myself, chose which fabrics worked best together and was really pleased with the result. I was hooked! Karen's business – French and Floral – was successfully launched in the spring of 2008. Karen’s latest additions to her range are hand-made chandelier crystal earrings, which look absolutely stunning on and make you feel instantly glamorous. The finish and quality of Karen’s collection is exceptional and will appeal to anyone who appreciates classical good taste with a touch of french chic.
