From her London studio, Charlotte Casadejus transforms antique French linens into individually handmade cushions and home accessories.
What do you love about what you do? Buying vintage textiles is definitely the most enjoyable part of my job. You never know what treasures you are going to find. I will happily traipse around brocantes in France at four in the morning.
What makes your range special? Each piece is unique – no one else will have one like yours because each piece of embroidery is a one-off and each piece of antique linen has its own texture and colour.
Where do you find inspiration? It comes easily when you work with such incredible antique materials. Discovering forgotten textiles then giving them new life by turning them into something someone else will cherish is very rewarding.
