Working from a self-contained studio in Kent, design graduate Lisa Matthews has created a unique and retro-inspired collection of bags and accessories that really do stand out from the crowd.

What’s the best bit about what you do? I love being creative and being able to act on ideas. I enjoy feeling industrious.

Favourite piece? The Happily, Ever and After satin bridesmaid clutches because they make such a great photo opportunity.

How would you describe your designs? They have a retro feel and I think they’re eye-catching and cheery.

What’s special? It’s the ability to personalise some of my range that makes them unique, giving my customers the ability to be creative and to devise something personal, a memento and a future heirloom. They’re also very decorative and would look good just displayed in your bedroom.
