‘I was looking for something a bit different to put on the wall of my son’s bedroom that didn’t involve cars or weapons,’ says our director, Laura. ‘With a white-washed beachy feel to the colour scheme in the room, I think Becky’s Union Jack embellished print will work well and give a lovely individual touch.'

bright and colourful cards and prints of hand-collaged designs
Bright, colourful and contemporary, Becky Peabody’s range of cards and prints have all been given the seal of approval by her harshest critics – children Sophie, 10 and Sam, 7!
‘What started out as a hobby, making cards for family and friends on my kitchen table, started to grow when I was encouraged to have my designs printed and approach some shops,’ says Becky. She set up her business – dots and spots – in 2008. Now she works from a studio at her home in Somerset and has given up her teaching job to concentrate on her business full time.
‘My studio is full of natural light by day and twinkling with fairy lights by night,’ she says. ‘I just love working with paper and playing around with ideas for a design - whether it’s cutting and tearing or creating a final image by layering and collaging. I get inspired by everything around me and have a scrap book full of images and sketched ideas. I love the shabby chic, country style look and often my final images reflect this.’
Becky’s favourite design? ‘I’m loving my personalised washing line prints as they are bright and colourful and every one is handmade and original. The Big Pud Christmas card is also very close to my heart!’
