Don’t leave the statement jewellery just for nights out, a fantastic pair of earrings can
look great with a simple t-shirt and jeans, also layering chains and necklaces of differing
lengths can add a certain bohemian look to any outfit.
Amanda Hewson Vintage
Handmade individual jewellery using vintage charms as well as stones and crystal from
the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s
London-based designer Amanda Hewson launched her eclectic range of handmade
jewellery in 2009 whilst also working full-time in TV production.
Why jewellery making? I have made jewellery from an early age and absolutely love
treasure hunting and tracking down long forgotten beads and findings. I got myself
trained in jewellery making and that was that!
What inspires you? I adore the V&A in London but I also just love to watch people in
the street to see what they are wearing. I am constantly scouring shops and markets for
vintage pieces which are what I use to create my designs.
What makes your range special? Every piece is a one-off and unique. Each and
every bead is sourced almost individually due to the vintage nature of my collection. No
one will ever have the exact same piece. Plus each one is a little piece of history too.
